At Emilia’s we love-soul warming comfort food. Everything we do revolves around the essence of Italian cuisine – freshness and simplicity. We believe Italian pasta should be served in a casual way with the generosity and warm welcome of previous generations. Just as Nonna would have done it.
Our pasta is freshly made every morning and cooked with a respect for the tradition and techniques passed down the generations from the cooks who taught us our craft. We add to that tradition by following the science behind the pairing of pasta shapes with the right sauces, so you get all the delicious flavour in every mouthful. And we make fresh pasta affordable for all to indulge in on a regular basis, just like Italians do.
Essentially, we want to bring back memories of that warm tingling feeling in your stomach you got as a child when your Nonna cooked you a delicious bowl of pasta after coming home from playing outside. At Emilia’s, we create happiness in a bowl using only natural, fresh and simple ingredients.
We look forward to welcoming you to our restaurants,

Emilia’s is the culmination of our founder’s travels around the Emilia-Romagna region and other parts of Italy. Each restaurant interior combines the simple, earthy, cosy and homely atmosphere that our founder experienced on his travels with individual features that capture and reflect the history of the building and its surrounding areas.
All our restaurants have identical main menus. In addition, each restaurant has its own seasonal specials menu where you can find more creative and experimental pasta dishes. Our Wood Wharf flagship restaurant also has an additional bar menu.
We take bookings at all restaurants and also leave space for walk-ins. To contact any of our restaurants, please email [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].
Reserved tables are held for a maximum of 15 minutes at busy times. If you are running late please call the restaurant.

Our St. Katharine Docks restaurant has a rustic, intimate ambience evoking the small trattorias on the side streets of Modena. This feeling comes from the handmade terracotta shaded floor tiles sourced from rural parts of Emilia-Romagna and the Carrara marble dining counters overlooking the open kitchen.
With a front terrace for al fresco dining overlooking the docks, this picturesque marina location offers a city getaway feel that might have you thinking you’ve travelled from Modena to the Italian Riviera.
Our Aldgate restaurant has a bustling city feel with a nod to the more extrovert nature of Italian culture. Our large tables are perfect for sharing and feasting, whilst the rustic terracotta-plastered walls and a Cotti d’Italia textured terracotta tiled- cladded bar take us on a journey back in time through Emilia-Romagna.
As you step into Emilia’s Aldgate you will feel like you’re in a bustling workshop, where talented artisans are at work. The open kitchen, spanning the length of the restaurant, adds a touch of theatre to the custom-made, manned marble pasta counter at the window, giving guests a 360-degree view of handcrafted pasta being made and cooked.
Walking into Emilia’s Wood Wharf will be like entering a bustling trattoria in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region with an ambience created by natural terracotta-plastered walls bathed in natural light, rustic Iroko furniture, creamy crema marfil marble counters and hand-painted Italian tiles. Chefs making fresh pasta greet diners at the window in a special dedicated custom-made area visible from all sides.
The thoughtfully designed interior cleverly combines a vibrant bar area with a custom table bocce for some competitive socialising in half the restaurant, with a cosy rustic restaurant section for more intimate moments and lingering conversations. As with all Emilia’s restaurants, the custom-designed kitchen and bar areas will be fully open for diners to watch the theatrics of drinks and dishes being freshly prepared. Outside, alfresco diners will enjoy views of the water and green open spaces as well as the stunning architecture of Wood Wharf.
In line with the Emilia’s brand ethos, our newest restaurant welcomes guests with an intimate yet vibrant ambiance. A curated blend of natural and earthy toned materials, such as terracotta, terrazzo, and wood, evokes the rustic charm of Italian trattorias.
Complementing this aesthetic are unique vintage Murano glass accents infusing the space with a sophisticated allure and rendering it uniquely inviting, blending homeliness with contemporary flair.
The open kitchen counter with seating invites diners to witness the culinary artistry as dishes are freshly prepared. Adjacent to this, a live pasta making station, captivates passers by, enhancing the buzz and entertainment factor, thereby elevating the theatrical dining experience.
