Bucatini is a thick spaghetti-like pasta characterized by a hole running through the centre resulting in a thicker overall shape than spaghetti, and it is popular throughout Lazio, particularly in Rome. The name originates from the Italian word ‘buco’, meaning ‘hole’.
This shape allows the sauce to permeate through the hole, ensuring a perfect taste in every mouthful.
Our Bucatini have won the Nopex award 2025, a proud recognition of our dedication to quality and natural ingredients.
"Great taste award" 2025!
Our Bucatini have also been awarded a Great taste 2025, one of the most prestigious food awards in the UK and widely recognised as a benchmark of excellence. Each product is blind tasted by panels of chefs, buyers, and food critics, making this a true mark of outstanding flavour and quality.
Pasta sauce & shape pairing
In Italian cuisine, bucatini pairs excellently with buttery and oil-based sauces, including simple classics like Cacio e Pepe, as well as “thin” runny egg-based sauces such as carbonara.
